New banking virus called EvenBot is spreading!! Security at risk

Indian Computer Emergency Response Team  or called as  Cert-In has a warning for Android smartphone users in India.

According to agency, a new banking virus called EventBot is spreading. It is a mobile trojan that steals data information from banking and other financial apps.

As per Cert-In, EventBot largely targeting financial apps like Paypal Business, Revolut, Barclays, UniCredit, CapitalOne UK, HSBC UK, TransferWise, Coinbase, paysafecard etc.

it is a mobile banking trojan and infostealer that abuses Android's operating system and steal the user data from financial applications. It also further read user SMS messages and intercepts SMS messages allowing malware to bypass two-factor authentication, even if you have set it.
